Free Innovation!

FREE INNOVATION! is an ongoing project by Christopher A. Ritter. This site is an effort to bring together seemingly unrelated ideas to spark innovative thought and present ideas which may have never been thought of before.

Unexpected Occurances

In his August 2002 article in Harvard Business Review, Peter Drucker outlines four areas of innovation within a company or industry. These areas are unexpected occurrences, incongruities, process needs, and industry and market changes.

Of these aforementioned areas, the simplest source of inspiration is unexpected occurrences, but it’s often the most difficult to understand. However, I believe these seemingly random events have the greatest potential to create something truly unique.

FREE INNOVATION!™ is a tool designed to help us think differently in the pursuit of innovation. It goes beyond the immediate task to generate new prompts that inspire fresh ways of thinking.
